Other companies offer the same service that HomeLight offers — often with some of the exact same agents — but also negotiate lower fees on your behalf. As far as we can tell, any agent can join the HomeLight network. There are no requirements for sales numbers, positive reviews, or level of experience. So, being part of this network doesn’t necessarily bestow credibility on a real estate agent.

At $200 a month it was expensive but I was promised solid leads. Long story short over the next 2 months I received like 8 or 9 leads and they were bogus junk leads. BUT the biggest problem and one that the big companies pull all the time is even after I canceled, they continued to bill me $200 a month for several months. Bill Watson is the real deal, He went above and beyond in getting my house sold. Where the Title company was lagging, Bill stepped in and together we got the needed information to close the deal on time. I have been involvedin zreslEstate for 51 years.

The truth is that all agent matching services are free for buyers and sellers, so this isn’t a unique benefit. The agreement state i can cancel and pay 60.00 as long as i don't have a contract on my house. I have only been listed with them 12 days, When i sent email and letter requesting cancellation i got a response that i have a contract on my house so i cant cancel.

The MyAgentFinder website provides very little information about the company. It’s not forthcoming about the way it operates, how matches are qualified, or how it vets agents. Since MyAgentFinder doesn’t share any information about its agent vetting process, our mystery shoppers decided to do a little digging. We found that agents are able to join the MyAgentFinder network by providing only their name, license number, and contact information. Whether you’re using MyAgentFinder to shop for an agent or mortgage lender, don’t just sign on the dotted line with whoever they send your way! Always evaluate service providers on a case by case basis — and try to compare multiple options — to come away with the best value and fit for your needs.
Elements of a Great Review
Instead of aspiring to achieve a stellar list of perfect reviews, showing up authentically and addressing customers’ questions will be the key to gain their trust. It is when former, potential or existing clients of real estate agents can write a review and rate agents on Zillow. But you’ll still have to pay the realtors’ commission if you use a HomeLight agent to sell your home. Typically, this adds up to 5-6% of the home sale price, with half going to the buyer’s agent and half going to your agent. HomeLight says it has served more than 1 million customers with its network of 28,000 real estate agents.

Meeting was like finally able to breathe after being suffocated for so long. Their promptness, knowledge of the market, strategic mindset, kindness, good energy made a potentially chaotic purchase process simple. I’ve already recommended him to two of my good friends.

However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles. When you’re buying or selling a home it’s confusing to know who’s responsible for paying what. If you prefer, HomeLight does provide a concierge who you can speak to via phone. In our shoppers’ experience, HomeLight concierges didn’t respond to texts, even though our shoppers selected that as their preferred method of communication. Having this organized space to manage the agent selection process is beneficial and welcomed by customers, as is the speed at which it facilitates matches. Some past customers appreciate the localized expertise of their HomeLight agents.
Notably, Ideal Agent only provides customers with one agent match, so if comparing options is important to you, it might not be a good choice. And while it does offer built-in savings for sellers, they’re not as significant as those offered by some top competitors, like Clever. MyAgentFinder is a service that connects home buyers and sellers with local real estate agents. Reviews suggest other agent matching companies provide better customer service and lower commission rates.
I’m one of the first of my friend group to buy a house, so there were no – “well what do you think” or “what feedback did you have in your experience” talks – except with . And that’s not in their job description, and it truly makes me consider them not just an agent, but a friend. Overall, I would strongly recommend to anyone looking to buy or sell a home, especially if they are first-time homebuyers. I would trust them with my eyes closed and their attention to detail and level of time/dedication to their clients is outstanding.

I have been scammed and want a complete refund. Like all agent matching services, HomeLight is free and there’s no obligation to use the service once you’ve signed up. But you’ll still need to pay your realtor commission fees.
Sellers who are looking for a good agent and aren’t concerned about savings or customer service. HomeLight is similar to MyAgentFinder in that its model doesn’t offer a cost-savings element. However, HomeLight’s agent network is larger with better coverage outside of major metropolitan areas. Both MyAgentFinder and Clever can quickly match you with multiple full-service, local realtors for free.

Only agents with Zillow Profiles can be rated and reviewed, so if you don’t want to be reviewed, you can remove your Zillow profile. But, we highly encourage you to allow reviews and ratings of your services so potential clients can learn about you, which could lead to more business. HomeLight isn’t the first agent matching service we’d recommend, but there’s not much harm in giving it a try. You can use it to compare agents, and you’re free to walk away if none of the agents work for you. Plus, it’s fast, easy-to-use, and has a lot of realtors to choose from.
It was a lesson I should of learned the first time around. If you want to know whether an agent can sell your home or help you find a new one, you need to go to the source — their previous clients. RankMyAgent collects and verifies thousands of reviews to make sure that you have the proper information before you even call a real estate professional. Given the absence of screening, it’s no surprise that the quality of agents in MyAgentFinder’s network varies widely. For example, some customer reviews indicate a lackluster experience with the agent they found through its matching service. Because its agent matching service is free with no obligation, there’s no real reason not to give it a try.
